Losing Chris Norris is really a big hit for this cannibals and missionaries
problem <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missionaries_and_cannibals_problem>
of getting all the people and equipment to Petersburg.
We are really tight on trailer hitches going to and from Petersburg.
As I have plotted it out, either people are going to have to do two trips,
or 9Y is going to get left behind for this week of Training.
I could really use one👏more👏trailer👏hitch!
I have 6 trailer hitches:
1. LOL QQ -> QQ trailer
2. Wagnermobile -> KS Trailer
3. WOT TRK -> 1K Trailer
4. StoreyF150 -> 9Y trailer
5. ShaneTrk -> Gator Trailer
6. DosikMobile (small trailers only)
1. 505CC trailer
2. 6E trailer
Evan, I guess I'm going to have to ask you your intentions about what you
want to do with WoT? Is this a 6E kind of WoT or am I only using you for
your trailer hitch?
Chris Carswell and Chris Zaboji: Which one of you want to ferry the gliders
to Petersburg? If Chris Zaboji does the ferry flight to Petersburg, we're
going to have to come up with somebody else for the ferry back, as CZ isn't
going to be around for the end of WoT.
I've sketched out this C&M possible solution for Sunday:
Early in the day:
1.
Piet Barber drives QQ trailer in the LOL QQ Truck to Petersburg
2.
Hugh McElrath sleeps in at his house in West Virginia.
3.
Shane Neitzey drives his pickup truck from his home in WV to FRR with
his big trailer
4.
Chris Zaboji or Chris Carswell drive their car to Petersburg and wait.
5.
Imram Akran flies his Cirrus to Petersburg.
6.
Richard Good drives his camper to Petersburg
7.
Piet, Chris (Carswell or Zaboji), Richard Good get into the Cirrus and
fly to Front Royal.
After FRR flight ops conclude:
1.
Piet flies N321K behind the Husky, piloted by Richard Good
2.
Chris (Zaboji or Carswell) flies N341KS behind the Pawnee, piloted by
Andrew Neilson.
3.
Everybody who isn’t actively ferrying a glider or a tow plane to
Petersburg is packing up the Gator trailer. See the packing list below.
4.
Stephanie Zilora drives the 1K trailer to Petersburg
5.
Ron Wagner drives the KS trailer to Petersburg (this can happen anytime)
6.
Cliff Storey drives the 9Y trailer (with 9Y in it) to Petersburg.
Cliff, please get training on how to drive a glider trailer before doing
this the first time. If you can't find somebody to train you on this, let
me know and we can tow QQ's trailer around to get you some practice
7.
Evan Dosik tows the PeeWee trailer to Petersburg
8.
Imram Akran flies his Cirrus back to Leesburg, and then drives from
Leesburg to Petersburg. Long day for Imram!
I have open questions about:
What is Evan willing to tow?
Are there any of you out there holding back, not bragging about your a
trailer hitch?
Chris Zaboji and Chris Carswell, are you capable of and are you willing to
ferry flight a "K"?
Alternate plans:
- We could leave the crummier of the two ASK-21 trailers at home, and
tow the Pee-Wee trailer with the PW5 in it. Ron Wagner could tow this, or
Stephanie could tow this. We only bring the empty trailers to W99 as a
contingency that we have to ground-tow them back to FRR on Friday evening.
- I could drive with somebody in the LOL QQ truck. When we get to
Petersburg, we leave the QQ trailer in Petersburg, and my co-pilot drives
back to Front Royal. There, the LOL QQ truck picks up an extra trailer and
drives it to Petersburg.
